Faculty of Electronics and Instrument engineering of Samara University named after academician S.P. Korolev was opened in 1962 as a radio engineering faculty of Kuibyshev Aviation Institute. First 50 full-time students were enrolled in 1959 to study "Design and manufacturing of radio equipment" program.
Nowadays the Faculty of Electronics and Instrument engineering is a part of the Institute of Informatics, Mathematics and Electronics. Five departments of the faculty offer various educational programs in radio engineering, nanoengineering, photonics and other branches of modern electronics. Experienced professors and researchers are involved in teaching and research activity, many of them were graduated from our faculty. Graduates of our faculty work now and are expected by industrial enterprises and research institutes of Russian Federation and other countries.
Academic exchange programs and double degree programs, offered by the faculty provide an opportunity to obtain international experience in the leading scientific and educational centres of the world. Research laboratories of the Samara University, supercomputer “Sergey Korolev”, design bureaux make your education in Samara very efficient, giving the world class level knowledge and competencies.
Numerous student clubs, sport sections and other facilities guarantee, that any student could find something for his personal preference for harmonic development.
